2010 Chevy Cobalt - Awesome Compact Car With An Affordable Price Tag

Due to the ailing economy and the high and low price of gasoline these days, a lot of people who would usually drive around SUVs and trucks are now buying smaller and more economical cars. But most of these drivers aren't willing to compromise when it comes to the styling of a car, and those type of drivers would love the 2010 Chevy Cobalt. The Cobalt has great styling and has more equipment, power and standard features that other cars in its class. And the one thing that makes this car a greater overall value than its competitors is its affordable price tag. The vehicle is available in both sedan and coupe models. And it has various including the fully loaded SS model.

This compact car has a very nice interior compared to its main competitor, the Ford Focus. The handling is also great and even during harsh weather and less than perfect road conditions, you always feel like you have control of the vehicle. As mentioned before, this car is amazing when it comes to fuel consumption and it's highly reliable. The only few things that is stopping this car from being perfect is the fact that the back seat is relatively small even though the overall interior spacing of the car is pretty good.

Another feature that Chevy should have changed before producing this car is the exhaust note. It's not as bad as a muscle car, but for a car of its size, the sound of the exhaust is much louder than the typical sedan. But other than that, the car is just as good as the 2009 model. The few additions Chevy has made to the 2010 Cobalt includes new standard SS trim features such as a performance display and a power moonroof. Other than that, the 2010 and the 2009 models are basically identical, including the price tag with the 2010 model starting at just $17,000.

Chevrolet has come a long way the last few years in regards to their compact economical cars. The Cobalt features a powerful engine and you will definitely enjoy driving around in this vehicle - especially if you can overlook the exhaust sound. The suspension on the 2010 Cobalt is a lot better than most compact cars. Driving around in a city with pothole filled streets wont be as bad when driving around in a car like this with nice suspension. The car can handle curves and corners exceptionally well and also has great acceleration.

One of the best features on the 2010 Cobalt is the XM satellite radio that comes standard. It's pretty shocking for XM to be standard on a car this low in price these days. For those of you who likes to listen to music while driving, you'll love what satellite radio has to offer. It has dozens of channels dedicated to specific types of music so no matter what type of music you're into, there's bound to be a station that plays the type of music you like 24/7. The glovebox is another feature worth mentioning. It has a lot more space this time around and also has a bigger door.

The front seats on the 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt is positioned quite high to give drivers a better view of the road. The dashboard is rather plain but it blends in well with the rest of the interior. Most data on the dashboard is shown on a digital screen. The spacing for the driver and passenger side seats is impressive but unfortunately the same can't be said about the rear seating. The trunk is quite large and the car also has plenty of standard safety features. The LS model features a CD sound system, side airbags, OnStar, traction control and a window defroster. The 2LT model features all the previously mentioned features and has Anti-lock braking, keyless entry and cruise control.
