3M Scratch Remover

The 3M Scratch Remover is an auto appearance product that has received many accolades. At the 2007 SEMA show, this product was awarded the Popular Mechanics Editor's Choice award. It would not be surprising to learn of the award if you have ever used it as it is:

In step One, you are advised to wash your car with a quality automotive soap so as to remove any road residue or other dirt and droppings from the finish. Moving to step Two, you will squeeze the tube to release a small amount of the product onto a soft and clean terry cloth towel. Next, in step Three, use a circular motion while rubbing over the damaged area just up to the point where the 3M Scratch Remover is dry. Last but not least, in step Four, remove any remaining haze, again with a quality micro fiber cloth commonly found with auto detailing supplies. The result before you will be candy for your eyes as you stare beyond belief!

A word of advice on what to expect with this product. Naturally, not all scratches are created equally. Some are more deeper than others and the deepest version will probably require some paint work. In order to gauge ahead of time if the 3M Scratch Remover will work well for you, you should swipe your finger across the damaged area. At this point if your fingernail tends to get caught in the furrows of the scratches, then they are probably too deep to be rendered unobservable. However, if it does not get caught as described, then you are dealing with the kind of damage that is the best subject for repair with the use of this product.
